The Artificial Intelligence in Medical Imaging (AIMI) lab at the University of Bern's ARTORG Center for Biomedical Engineering Research invites applications from data scientists and software engineers with a strong background in data science and programming to work on innovative tools in the domain for healthcare
We are looking for enthusiastic candidates with excellent technical skills to join our research group.
We require outstanding in-depth technical skills in programming. Candidates are expected to have the following experience:
- Experience in data science methods (i.e., machine learning, deep learning)
- Experience with Linux System Administration and Docker
- Experience in web front ends in HTML /CSS /JavaScript and python back-end programming
- Experience with JavaScript front-end frameworks
- Interest in learning/applying new machine learning or deep learning methods
- BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field
- Good English language skills

The positions are funded for a 1-year period at first with the possibility to extend to 4 years thereafter. The start date is expected to be in the June-October 2021 period (flexible start dates possible).
Strong communication skills in English are required, as it is the working language of the ARTORG center. Free German courses are available for those wishing to learn. There are no associated teaching duties, but opportunities are possible for those interested.
