The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Data Analyst to join the Business and Property Division within the Vice-President (Services) portfolio on a continuing appointment. In this role, you will be reporting directly to the Business Improvement Manager and will be asked to provide a range of high-level administrative services to support the scope and design of Buildings and Property. 

This can include:

  • Coordinating and providing a range of analytical services to support business decision-making, improvement, planning and new initiatives 
  • Developing and maintaining methods to extract, merge and transform data from the University’s main systems as well as other data sources
  • Providing expert advice, insight and guidance to senior management, drawing upon up-to-date knowledge 
  • Developing and maintaining continuous improvement activities to optimise process efficiency and quality of data, and streamline operational processes and service provision 
  • Implementing and contributing to research and data projects, developing and implementing frameworks, methodologies and reporting processes including those relating to compliance and quality assurance 
  • Develop and sustain effective working relationships with colleagues, clients and other stakeholders

This position is suited to a highly motivated individual who holds a degree qualification in a relevant field with a quantitative component in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics; or extensive experience and management expertise in technical or administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. Additionally, the successful candidate will ideally have advanced computer literacy, well-developed interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrate strong analytical, research and problem solving skills.

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
