Researcher position in Physical Chemistry with focus on Development of de novo bio-inorganic systems for oxidative and reductive photocatalysis in well-organized protein environments

The Department of Chemistry - Ångström conducts research and education in the chemistry field. The department has more than 250 employees and has a turnover of 250 million SEK. Duties
Research in the announced area, which could include supervision of coworkers. Teaching and administration may also be included, up to 20% of working hours. Documented experience in preparation of de novo proteins and transient absorption spectroscopy is required. 

Requirements
For employment as researcher, the applicant should have a PhD exam or an international equivalent in chemistry or other for the position relevant fields. The applicant must have knowledge on photochemistry and photocatalysis and have work experience on artificial photosynthesis.

The assessment of applications is based primarily on the applicant's ability to conduct independent research based on scientific skill. Greater importance is attached to the quality of individual scientific work, than to the amount of publications. A high level of written and spoken English as well as the ability to work in a team is required.

We will place great emphasis on personal suitability. Consideration will also be given to i.e. good collaborative skills and drive, and how the applicant’s experience and skills complement and strengthen the administrative work within the unit/department, as well as contribute to its future development.

Additional qualifications
Previous postdoctoral experience or equivalent is desirable.
