Two postdoctoral fellows (f/m/d) | Mechanisms of cellular quality control

The Max Planck Institute of Biophysics (MPIBP) is a leading international research institute that uses biophysical, biochemical and computational methods to investigate the structure, dynamics and function of cellular systems at the molecular scale. It consists of several research groups and scientific core facilities with about 200 employees from more than 25 countries. The Institute is located at the Campus Riedberg in Frankfurt am Main.

The lab “Mechanisms of Cellular Quality Control” led by Florian Wilfling at the MPIBP is seeking two highly motivated postdoctoral fellows (f/m/d) to work on two projects funded by an ERC starting grant.

The aim of the projects is to investigate the mechanisms of cargo recruitment during autophagosome biogenesis using quantitative mass spectrometry and correlative cryo-electron microscopy techniques. The candidates will join a dynamic, enthusiastic and international team of biophysicists and biochemists ready to tackle exciting problems related to proteostasis in a collaborative fashion.
