Software Developer for HPC performance tools

 Your Job:

  • You research - and develop software tools for - instrumentation, measurement, and analysis for performance optimization of HPC applications using GPU accelerators
  • You design, implement, and maintain new modules for our open source software tools around the Score-P (score-p.org) and Scalasca (scalasca.org) toolsets, which support the instrumentation, measurement, and analysis of HPC programs enabled for GPU accelerators
  • You coordinate the work with the project partners in a closely linked project structure
  • You present the results of your work at scientific meetings and conferences as well as in scientific publications

Your Profile:

  • Master (or higher) degree from a university with international accepted quality standards in computer science, or a related subject
  • Experience in software development in the C and C++ programming languages
  • Previous experience with GPU computing (e.g. CUDA, HIP/ROCm, SYCL, OpenACC, or OpenMP target) and software engineering tools (e.g. GIT, CI/CD) is considered a plus but is not a prerequisite
  • Willingness to contribute with talks to international conferences and participate in project meetings, courses and tutorials
  • Good command of English and preferably good knowledge of German
  • Structured and systematic working style as well as ability for cooperative work in teams
