PhD student (m/f/d) | Biophysics

 


The Biophysics Lab (Dr. Rumiana Dimova) at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces in Potsdam, Germany invites applications from outstanding young scientists for the position of PhD student (m/f/d) in Biophysics - for the project “Gauging membrane tension and channel activity with light”. Payment follows TVöD (Salary Class 65% E13, 3 years).

We are looking for a highly motivated PhD student (m/f/d). The candidate should have a MSc degree in physics, chemistry, engineering or closely related fields, with an outstanding profile, a strong background and interests in

  • biophysics, biochemistry, bioengineering
  • physics of biological systems
  • interdisciplinary work
  • experience with membranes & membrane proteins / microscopy / microfluidics will be an advantage but not a necessary requirement.
