Doctoral Researcher/Student in strategy and entrepreneurship

 for a fixed term of two years from the starting date. The starting date can be mutually agreed with the chosen candidate to be between 1st March 2023 and 30th September 2023. The doctoral researcher/student will work in the Emil Aaltonen Foundation project ”Massadatan hyödyntäminen historiallisessa johtamistutkimuksessa: Analyyttisesti jäsennellyn historian menetelmä relaatiotietokantaa hyödyntäen”. Tasks and qualifications

Doctoral Researcher’s primary responsibilities include dissertation study, postgraduate education, teaching assistance, and other related duties. The duties, eligibility requirements and language skills of Doctoral Researchers (doctoral students) are defined in the University of Jyväskylä Regulations and language skills guidelines.

The eligible candidate has, or is about to obtain, a suitable degree and background in business and economics. In addition, the Doctoral Researcher must have a permission for post-graduate studies at the University of Jyväskylä. If the applicant does not have permission for post-graduate studies, it must be applied with a separate application procedure from the Jyväskylä School of Business and Economics after selection for the position.

The salary of a successful candidate will be based on level 2–4 of the job requirement scheme for teaching and research staff in the salary system om Finnish universities. The annual salary range will be approximately 28,500 EUR (gross income, including a holiday bonus). With progress of the thesis work, the salary will be revised in accordance with the Collective Agreement of Finnish Universities. A trial period of six months will be used in the beginning of the employment.
