In addition, clinical dietary intervention studies are conducted to reduce the symptom burden in patients with metabolic dysfunction, irritable bowel syndrome and other gastrointestinal diseases. At Chalmers, researchers engage in world-leading research in systems biology, bioinformatics, AI, metabolomics and food science. Clinical research is strengthened by expertise in both subjective and objective methods for measuring dietary intake, such as metabolomics and double-labeled water, as well as nutritional status and body composition.
