Postdoc in audio-visual information retrieval for artistic processes

  In close cooperation with the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and with Spotify, Ericsson, and teenage engineering, we are looking for a postdoctoral fellow for the Information Retrieval in Embedded Systems for Audiovisual Artistic Processes project with funding from the Knowledge Development Foundation. The project explores interaction design as a tool to demonstrate how, even in distributed music performances, you can create a sense of immersion and exchange between participants and audience in merged reality. When space and participation are physically dissolved, other sensory parameters, such as the spatial properties of sound, become even more important. The hypothesis is that immersion requires access to continuously relevant musical information and that this is available to the system and to all participants.
