We at the Division of Electric Power Engineering conduct research within a broad range of topics in electric power technology. Our purpose is to develop interdisciplinary research areas within the university as well as with external partners. Our research is based on a solid theoretical basis and extensive experimental verification in our laboratories as well as in the field. Research activities at the division are organized in two research units: power grid and components and electrical machines and power electronics.

Job description
The major responsibility is to take care of the laboratories at the Division of Electric Power Engineering and at the Department of Electrical Engineering. This includes a machine lab, battery lab, power system lab, power electronics lab, high voltage lab, a research wind turbine at Björkö, educational labs tec. You will be expected to keep the labs in order, well-functioning and in compliance with national standards. As a research engineer you are expected to work with researchers, including PhD students, in developing setups in the labs.

Contract terms
Permanent employment. 

Qualifications
We are searching for applicants with both electrical and mechanical design and manufacturing experience. The successful applicant should have verified competences and experiences in experimental work within electric power engineering. In the list below you can see examples of meritorious experiences and skills that we are looking for. The candidate should also be able to to properly communicate both in Swedish and English, in oral and written form.

The position is limited to a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Engineering, main field of study, Electrical Engineering (högskoleingengör elektroteknik), Master of Science in Engineering, main field of study, Electrical Engineering (civilingengör elektroteknik) or Master of Science Electric Power Engineering or candidates that can show equivalent knowledge and competence will also be considered. Meritorious experiences and skills:
1. Structured and like order (Ordning och reda)
2. Electronics design (Elektronik konstruktion)
3. Electrical and mechanical prototyping
4. Experience of Matlab / Simulink, dSPACE, LabView, 3D-CAD, FPGA, u-controller
5. Troubleshooting and testing of electronics and electrical circuits
