The Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science seeks to fill the above professorship from 1 April 2022:
The Faculty is seeking an internationally recognised scientist in the field of theoretical computer science. Designated research experience should be proven in one of the areas of automata theory and formal languages, complexity theory or semantics. Broad teaching experience in computer science is expected. The successful candidate should demonstrate high-quality international publications and experience in the successful acquisition of external research funding. The tasks of the professorship include teaching in all degree programmes at the Institute for Computer Science. The successful applicant will be expected to participate in existing and new research associations in a manner that aligns with the University’s profile in mathematical and computer-aided sciences.
The job holder’s rights and obligations are regulated by the Saxon Freedom of Higher Education Act (SächsHSFG) and the Saxon Service Regulations for Higher Education Institutions (DAVOHS). Applicants must meet the requirements of Sect. 58 SächsHSFG.
