POSTDOC POSITIONS ON CIRCULAR BUSINESS MODELS AND INSTITUTIONAL CHANGE TOWARDS CIRCULARITY IN CONSTRUCTION

At the Faculty of Engineering and Science, Department of the Built Environment in Copenhagen, two positions as postdoc in business models and institutional change towards the circular economy are open for appointment in the Construction Management and Innovation Research Group from 1 February 2022 to 31 January 2025 or soon hereafter.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Both postdocs will be work on a project that studies the development and diffusion of business models and mechanisms of institutional change towards the circular economy in the construction industry. One postdoc will focus on business models while the other postdoc is within the area of institutional change. Both positions require knowledge on the construction industry and advanced understanding of qualitative methods and new-institutional theorizing. The post docs will work in close affinity with other project members and companies in DK and abroad, and will contribute to the research group’s research on framework conditions and change. In addition, teaching within the area will be part of the position, as well as limited work on other projects in the research group.

 Qualification requirements:  

Appointment as Postdoc presupposes scientific qualifications at PhD level or similar scientific qualifications. The research potential of each applicant will be emphasized in the overall assessment. Appointment as a postdoc cannot exceed a period of four years in total at Aalborg University. Candidates should have the ability to work in a team as well as independently and be good at networking. The candidates must have excellent knowledge of English (written and spoken). However, interviews, which have to be conducted in relation to the postdoc positions, will have to be conducted in Danish.

  • A current curriculum vitae.
  • Copies of relevant diplomas (Master of Science and PhD). On request you could be asked for an official English translation. 
  • Scientific qualifications. A complete list of publications must be attached with an indication of the works the applicant wishes to be considered. You may attach up to 5 publications.
  • Dissemination qualifications, including participation on committees or boards, participation in organisations and the like. 
  • Additional qualifications in relation to the position. References/recommendations.

Employment is in accordance with the Ministerial Order on the Appointment of Academic Staff at Universities (the Appointment Order) and the Ministry of Finance's current Job Structure for Academic Staff at Universities. Employment and salary are in accordance with the collective agreement for state-employed academics.
